Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi KishimotoIt tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki a young ninja who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage the leader of his village. The story is told in two parts the first set in Narutos pre-teen years and the second in his teens. The series is based on two one-shot manga by Kishimoto.

When it seems that Himawari has found him, Boruto lets out a fearful scream. Naruto is ready to go but Boruto and Himawari fight over a stuffed panda that Himawari wants to bring with her but Boruto says it will embarrass him in front of the villagers. Upon arriving and finding that Naruto has not arrived, Hinata rushes home. Hinata instructs Naruto to go to the venue with the kids quickly while she picks up the cloak. Naruto remembers when Kakashi's cloak was not finished in time. At the breakfast table, Hinata says she will go pick up his cloak before the ceremony in case it's not finished. Hinata asks Boruto and Himawari to go wake him, and when Himawari's "cutesy" way fails, Boruto jumps on him. It's the morning of Naruto's Hokage inauguration, but he is still asleep. The Day Naruto Became Hokage ( ナルトが火影になった日, Naruto ga Hokage Ni Natta Hi) is an OVA that is included on the limited edition DVD and Blu-ray releases of Boruto: Naruto the Movie, released on July 6, 2016.
